Turning Stones into Living Art.
“Beauty does not come from perfection, but from survival and transformation.”

Sustainable Upcycling & Conservation
A meaningful conversation between living space and Earth. In a world full of industrial waste, we rescue raw rock fragments leftover from quarry and mountain mining, polishing and instilling them with renewed breath and soul.

The Origin • John Corrin & Arunee Corrin
British Design Precision Meets Thai-Chinese Mineral Artistry (Fong Ai Lin)
JOAR was born from a visionary husband-and-wife designer atelier: John Corrin (British) and Arunee Corrin (Thai/Chinese – Fong Ai Lin). Since 2012, our workshop has pioneered the transformation of untouched Thai geological formations into internationally acclaimed luminary sculptures.
Rare Mineral Provenance Across Thailand
We source raw geological fragments directly from local quarries spanning Thailand’s northern highlands, through western limestone ridges, down to the southern ranges:
White & Honey Calcite
Formed over geological epochs, this rare crystal mineral radiates an ethereal, warm honey glow when backlit, casting soft meditative luminescence.
Hydrite • Shan Shui (山水)
Distinguished by dramatic grey-and-white veining that mirrors ancient Chinese ink wash paintings of mist-shrouded mountain peaks and flowing rivers.
Unequalled Quality & World-Wide Standard
JOAR prides itself on the unequalled quality of its lighting with the assurance that every aspect of our art meets an impeccably high worldwide standard. Beyond our artist-sculpted rock lamps, our atelier crafts bespoke tables, sculptural vases, mineral bowls, vanity sets, aroma stone burners, and ceremonial candelabras—each carrying an irreplaceable natural signature.
“A new spirit from old rubble. It is sustainable design and a timeless conversation between you and the Earth you cherish.”
